I bought the Trojan from a lady in East Sussex who had owned the car for the past 22 years but for most of that time it had been lying unused in a garage. It sports a Bournemouth car dealers plate which I think has been there from new. It needs the brake hydraulic system and front shock absorbers overhauled. Also a bit of tidying to the paintwork and interior. I've found one small welding repair made a long time ago to the nearside inner front wheel arch but otherwise the body and underside seem very sound. I plan to get it back on the road during 2008, then may consider repainting in its original Roman Blue colour. Always happy to hear from other Scottish Heinkel Trojan owners. |
